Postcards from the Great War 08

The most famous comic card of the Great War.

The Humour of the Great War

Today I went down to Bolton town centre for the commemoration service for the centenary of Britain’s declaration of war on Germany. I took the photo above. I’m not sure. I may go back to the original.

As today is the centenary of the start of the Great War, I’ve decided to upload what is probably the most famous comic card of the whole war – Bruce Bairnsfather’s “Well, if you knows of a better ‘ole, go to it.”
