There are holes in the sky
Where the rain gets in
But they’re ever so small
That’s why the rain is thin.
“In England, Sunday should be renamed ‘Rain-like-every-other-day’.”

“I’m getting p***ed off with it p***ing down all the time!”

We managed Draw Out 1 in May in pleasant sunshine when we went for a bimble round Rivington. Two attempts in June for another walk with our sketchbooks were rained off. Next Sunday we are meant to be going for a walk round Castlefield, and up the River Irwell to Odsall Hall.
I have a cunning plan regarding the weather! I’m going to get a very long ladder that reaches up to the sky and then I’m going to get some Polyfilla and fill up all of Mr Milligan’s holes! Simples!
While the three places I have ear marked for stopping and sketching are undercover (one under a large bridge and two inside) it would be nice to walk alongside the river without thinking we’ve stayed into the river itself.
I’ll let you know how it goes!
